Keypeur

Keypeur was uninstalled, and its vault with it.

Keypeur stores your vault only on your device, inside the extension's local storage. When the extension is removed, the browser permanently deletes that storage: the logins you saved in Keypeur are no longer on this computer. Only Keypeur's own data is deleted: exported backup files, passwords saved in your browser, and everything else on your device are untouched.

You have an exported backup file? Then nothing is lost: your backup is a complete, encrypted copy of your vault. Follow the steps below.

Restore your vault

  1. Reinstall Keypeur from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open the extension and choose Restore a backup on the first screen (also available later under Tools → Backup).
  3. Select your backup file (keypeur-backup-….json; files from the older onepass name work too).
  4. Enter the master password you used when that backup was exported. Your vault, including 2FA secrets and notes, comes back exactly as it was.

No backup?

Then the vault cannot be recovered: by design, it existed nowhere but on your device and Keypeur holds no copy, no account, no server. You will need to reset the passwords of your accounts through each site's "forgot password" flow.

Uninstalled by accident and reinstalled right away? The browser may have already purged the storage. If the extension opens on the "create a vault" screen, only a backup file can bring your data back.
